OUR STORY

It all began with an idea to travel more, connect more, and to fuel our desire for adventure.
Field Study Coffee was born from our love for morning rituals, the thrill of exploration, and a passion for exceptional coffee. We dreamed of creating a coffee experience untethered to a single location—one that could bring great coffee to beaches, forests, deserts, and everywhere in between. A place where wanderers, regulars, and those seeking something new would feel at home.
To bring this vision to life, we needed a vehicle that could carry us—and our coffee—into the unknown. It had to be rugged yet refined, capable of holding all our gear while handling remote and challenging environments. We wanted something vintage, with a proven history and character that reflected our ethos. After searching high and low—from pickup trucks to VW vans—we realized the perfect fit was a Range Rover Classic. Its heritage as a utility off-roader with a touch of elegance made it the ideal choice.
We dove deep into research, learning everything about the Range Rover Classic—its strengths, quirks, and the restoration work required to bring it to life. The search was no small task, as most models from the 1990s were either rusted, neglected, or beyond our budget. Eventually, we discovered a group of Rovers imported from Madrid, Spain, where the dry climate preserved them beautifully. That’s where we found our perfect match: a 1995 Range Rover Classic in Epsom Green, the final year of its production. Fully restored and ready for the journey ahead, it became the foundation of Field Study Coffee.
With the Range Rover outfitted for the road, we set out to serve exceptional coffee anywhere. From pulling perfect espresso shots to crafting natural syrups and offering locally sourced pastries, we’ve made it our mission to deliver an unforgettable coffee experience wherever the road takes us.
We’ll see you out there.
